COVID 19 and the Pandemic of 2020
I have been reflecting on the first five months of 2020. The year started amazingly well with positive goals to be fulfilled with the School of Hard knocks and the Empire Wrestling Federation. Our January 17th Covina event, February 15th VFW San Bernardino event and February 21st EWF Covina events were all very exciting with promising returns for upcoming events who had to be canceled due to the corona virus.
Who would have ever thought this could happen to us. I believe we had been taking our life and freedom for granted. I certainly never thought this would happen in my lifetime. How many of you would see certain people specially Asians wearing face masks either in Disneyland, Casinos or other places and say to yourself “Dang, I would never be caught dead wearing a face mask”. Well here we are now we are all being forced into wearing a face mask. It’s going to be a part of life for who knows how long as we too are now wearing a face mask when we are out in public places.
It totally breaks my heart to see and hear of all that is going on around us, however we must be strong and stay positive, and at the same time stay safe when out and about. I miss our EWF fans, it is very hard to say when we will be able to run events again. But we certainly won’t run until it’s possible for everyone to be able to enjoy them in the safest and most enjoyable environment. In the meantime please enjoy our past events on YouTube in the comfort of your own home. We at EWF will do what we can to keep you entertained with past videos, and hope to be creative to find other ways of keeping you engaged as we are going through this ordeal together. I am so proud of our hard working talent and young students who had been making progress working hard to make their dreams come true showing and expressing their talent.
The Empire Wrestling Federation is used to surviving many hard situations, but each has made us stronger. “WE WILL SURVIVE”. Look for the School of Hard Knocks to open up soon under cautious conditions.
