We have gone a whole year without live Empire Wrestling Federation events due to the Covid 19 situation. However the last 6 months we have put out one match per week on our  YouTube “HARD KNOCKS WRESTLING” channel. The students and our more more advanced pro wrestlers were getting antsy and had the desire to dress up and perform to be ready for when we are able to perform again in front of a live crowd,  and we went ahead and began taping matches at the School of hard Knocks in San Bernardino. we normally film 4 to 5 matches every so many weeks, we film promos and then we go right into filming matches. as of yesterday we filmed 7 matches in better time then any other day of filming. It is my greatest joy to see my wrestlers perform in their first match, and for them to do well thanks to the true professional wrestlers that are not afraid to get in the ring with them. I wish that when I started wresting back in January 25th of 1981 there had been someone like me to have had the courage to give a couple of young wrestlers the same opportunity as we are now giving our talent. It took me and my and  tag team partner 2 years of training before our trainer the Great Goliath was able to get us a match. That first match started it all bookings kept us busy, from that point on, but this isn’t about me. This is about my students getting their opportunity to perform and show their skills on our YouTube channel and the wrestlers that are using this experience to stay busy and sharpen their skill and to be ready for wrestling promotions to start up again.

I am enjoying to see experienced wrestlers such Honest Jon, Ty Ray, Rey Genessis, Vinny Wasco, Trailer King, Mexi Machos, Wicked Wickett, Flecha Fugaz, Romeo Cruz helping out on this project and in helping to build up talent that soon everyone will enjoy to see in the EWF once we start up again for live events. This project is a win win situation even for the experienced wrestlers as they are getting better themselves. How many professional wrestler out there have trouble wrestling young talent and blaming them for having a bad match. If you are a real pro you should be able to wrestle and have a good match with anyone they book you with even if they are green. Yesterday we filmed some exciting matches that I can hardly wait for everyone to see. My hat off to Vinny Wasco out of Santino Brothers who had a tremendous match against School of Hard Knocks student and now wrestler Nick Lash who has only had a hand full of matches. Rey Genesis a student of Billy Blade is getting better and better with each match. I am so damn proud of the talent we are building at the school. The students that are getting booked are students that deserve and are ready to be given a chance to perform It’s not like you have been here a few months and BOOM! you are working the HARD KNOCKS WRESTLING tapings.

A typical Saturday of taping starts like this. > We run the school from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM during that time we start setting up for filming so that by 1:30 or so we start taping Promos, after promos we start the matches we normally film 4 to 6  matches with yesterday 7 matches. Normally we are done by 5:00 PM  Soon after I go home and spend anywhere between 3 to 4 more hours promoting the weekly match that goes up at 2:00 PM on social media. I make sure we put it out for the world to see giving our wrestlers as much opportunity to be seen world wide. The funny side of the story is that some wrestlers don’t want to participate because it may hurt their career. LOL NXT started as a place for developing talent for WWE before putting them on Raw or Smackdown and many WWE talent stepped down to help develop NXT talent and look where NXT is now. I am not comparing us to the level of WWE or NXT however It’s the same format. Im happy to see many of our former students that started here at the School of hard Knocks and or those non students that worked our EWF events that have made it to the real top promotions world wide. I am not about to mention all of them by name because there are too many to mention and may not remember all their names, but they all know who they are, and I am very proud of each and everyone of them, and may the continue to have success even if we ended up in bad terms. Once my student always my students even those that credit others for their start just to get themselves over.
