Hello sports fans and welcome back to the home of Empire Wrestling Federation!  I’m Brandi Mendez, EWF correspondent coming back to you with the results from our triumphant second show in Covina’s Knights of Columbus Hall on Feb. 3.  Fans were in for a huge delight as “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce defended his NWA Heavyweight Championship against “Hollywood’s Own,” Joey Ryan.  Without further adieu, let’s get to them!

Match #1: “The Irish Icon” D.K. Murphy DEF Stryder

In one of two singles matches from the beloved Bar Room Saints,  Murphy took Stryder to the max as he laid out the EWF rookie after landing his devastating Hangover for the three-count.

Match #2: Dave the Bruiser DEF “Project 56” Joshua Dunbar

Accompanied by the lethal and conniving Crystal Michelle, Bruiser defeated “Project 56” with his merciless underhanded tactics and ruthless aggression in which caught the best of Dunbar.

Match #3: “Mega Queen” Ashley Hollywood DEF Nikki Hollywood

In this match-up, the estranged Hollywood sisters took out their deep disdain out on one another both inside and outside of the ring.  “Mega King” Tommy Wilson wasn’t far from his queen, as he stood ringside to watch the family feud come to a boiling point.  These ladies took aggression to an all new level of intensity as they exchanged chops, elbows and a face full of canvas to one another.  Although the match was grueling for each of the competitors, the “Mega Queen” toppled her sister by landing the three-count and victory over Nikki.

Match #4: The A-List (“The Overnight Celebrity” Roger Ruiz & “Top Shelf” Jeremy Jaeger) DEF Nothing But Trouble (“The Rattle from Seattle” Eddie Mattson & “Big Bad Maddix”) to retain the EWF Tag Team Championships

The newly crowned EWF Tag Team Champions, The A-List celebrated their reign by taking on Mattson and Maddix in an intense match-up that left the EWF crowd out of their seats as Jaeger and Ruiz showed their competition why they’re the A-List.  After Mattson was delivered a debilitating “TMZ” by Ruiz, the tag champs were “All In” as they double-teamed Maddix, and captured the victory.

Match #5: Sugar Sweetz DEF Valiant

Cocky newcomer Sweetz took on EWF favorite Valiant in an intense bout with both wrestlers putting up their best efforts to top their opponents; it was Sugar’s “Sweet Spot” that took him one step ahead of Valiant, when he landed the win.

Match #6: Kingitude (“Certified Tough Guy” Brandon Gatson & “Mega King” Tommy Wilson) VS The Iron Cowboys (EWF Champion, “The Midnight Cowboy, Handsome” Johnny Starr & EWF American Champion “Iron Man” Mike Maze) ended in a DOUBLE DISQUALIFICATION

Newly found allies, Gatson and Wilson took on the EWF Champions Maze and Starr where the punishment started as soon as the wrestlers entered ringside.  Wilson showed no mercy towards the “Iron Man” as he singled him out in the ring and gave him a grueling beat down that he almost didn’t recover from.  After countless two-counts, Maze made it back to his corner where Starr was anticipating getting back in the ring and retribution to his opponents.  Simultaneously Wilson made his tag to Gatson and his face met the end of “Midnight Cowboy’s” boot.  As the match continued, Gatson and Wilson took the EWF Championships into the ring and proceeded in a literal tug-of-war for the titles, with the champions.  Starr proceeded to drop Wilson to the canvas as Gatson took out Maze, and the official called for a double disqualification on both teams.  EWF Deputy Commissioner Marty Elias then announced the four men will meet again, on March 4, back in Covina.  Wilson will take on Maze for the American Championship and Gatson will compete against Starr for the EWF Championship.  Stay tuned for these rivalries and how they pan out on March 4th, where sparks are definitely going to fly!

Match #7: “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce DEF “Hollywood’s Own” Joey Ryan to retain the NWA Heavyweight Championship

Earlier in the evening Ryan called out Pearce to wish him luck in their match-up, only to blindside the defending champion with his devastating “Walk-off kick.”  As soon as “Scrap Iron” made it to ringside for the match-up, the bell couldn’t ring fast enough for him to get his hands on Ryan.  This match was intense and had the house out of their seats, anticipating what was next.  Technically superior, Pearce conquered “Hollywood’s Own” at every move he made.  In the end, Pearce shut Ryan’s cocky mouth with his jumping pile-driver, for the win.

There you have it ladies and gentlemen, another spectacular event that will go down in EWF history!  Make sure to check us out again as we come out to Lake Elsinore on Feb. 11 at the Trevi Events Center!  Until then, I’m Brandi Mendez signing off.  See you inside the ropes!
